Sandie passed away Aug. 21, 2025, at the Springdale Post Acute Center, Mesa, Arizona, after a tough battle with cancer.
She was born on Nov. 29, 1953 in Walton to Owen L. and Emma Peck Howland.
She was predeceased by her parents and by her husband, Bruce, who she was married to for 33 years.
Sandie is survived by her companion, Lee Autry, her fur babies, many special friends, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Howland and Peck families. A graduate of Walton Central School Class of 1971, she briefly attended Sullivan County Community College. Her dreams took her to Arizona where she lived in Tucson and Sahuarita before settling in Pinetop-Lakeside with her husband Bruce, and her mother, Emma.
She was an associate broker with Aspen Properties for many years.
Sandie was passionate about dancing, particularly line dancing, and loved listening to country music. She was a groupie for Lee Autry’s band and enjoyed accompanying him to different venues where she danced her heart out.
Sandie will be interred with Bruce at the Cave Creek National Cemetery in Cave Creek, Arizona.
Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Rest well, Sandie. We will miss you.
