ONEONTA - The Susquehanna Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club, which serves Otsego, Delaware and Chenango counties, offers monthly hikes, meetings and longer outings throughout the year.
The chapter’s Tuesday morning hikes generally cover short distances over rolling or flat terrain at a leisurely pace. Details about upcoming outings, including meeting times and locations, are available on the chapter’s website. Participants should bring appropriate clothing and gear and enough water for the activity.
For Tuesday hike information, call or text the hike line at 607-431-8010.
The chapter meets on the third Wednesday of each month. From September through May, meetings are held at 6 p.m. at the Elm Park United Methodist Church community room, 401 Chestnut St., Oneonta. A potluck supper is followed by a program at 7 p.m. Those attending the program without supper may arrive at 7 p.m. Members and nonmembers are welcome.
The chapter also offers an all-day Saturday hiking series, with longer and more challenging hikes than its regular Tuesday outings. The 2026 program includes 10 hikes, some returning to popular locations and others exploring new areas. Saturday hikes require preregistration and are limited to 20 participants.
