I love to talk a walk, every day if I can. I have had many troubles with my feet, so it is not always possible. But when I can it is very enjoyable. Spring is also a very refreshing time of year to take a walk. Alone or with a good friend this time can refresh us all. Whenever you choose, spring is a nice time of year for enjoying a walk.
Many times it is difficult to fit into our busy lives. But if we are determined to do it we will find the time. It is good for our health and wellbeing as much as anything we can do.
Next time you go may I suggest you focus on the beauty of this world that our God has created. Look around and see the wonderful things has made in this world for all of us to enjoy. See all the spring growth and enjoy nature and the changing of the seasons. Take time to be with your Father God and reflect on his love and creation.
Many Bible scriptures noted people who walked with God. Noah did: Genesis 6:9 “Noah walked with God. Abraham walked with God. In Genesis it says: “And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day.”
Also, it says in Leviticus: “I will also walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.”
In an old hymn “In the Garden” it says “And he walks with me and he talks with me.”
I am sure that God would love to take a walk and talk with you every day. Taking a few minutes to read his Word and then taking a nice slow walk to enjoy his fellowship and his wonderful world and all the creations in it. Some time alone with the creator is not only good physically but is enriching spiritually.
When we walk and talk with our friends we know them better and our relationship with them deepens. And this is exactly what happens with God when we spend time with him our relationship with him deepens and we feel his love more completely.
Every day we open God’s word and read it and spend that quiet time of walking with him is time well spent in our spiritual life here on earth.
This has been a beautiful spring here in upstate New York. God has truly blessed us in this area. I urge you to go out and enjoy this wonderful creation that God has made. I urge you to spend precious time with God!
Enjoy!
