Tony Michael Lucas (Mike), age 73, passed away unexpectedly April 24, 2026, in Pinewood, South Carolina.
Born in Greensboro, North Carolina to J.D. Richard Lucas and Mildred Naomi Crouch, Mike proudly served in the United States Army for over 20 years, retiring as a sergeant first class. He later dedicated his time to teaching, sharing his knowledge, and enjoying life with family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 49 years Ruth (Bryden), daughter Tracey (Sean) Fitzgerald, sons Tony (Dana) Lucas and Kevin (Amy Smithley) Lucas, along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.
A committal service with full military honors was held at Jacksonville National Cemetery May 1.
