Fellow citizens, as the upcoming midterm elections approach, it is critical for every American, regardless of political affiliation, to consider the future of our Constitutional Republic.
To Democratic voters, the “traditional party” of the working class is increasingly influenced by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), with numerous primaries being won by DSA-backed candidates. Does this represent the party of your parents? Does it represent your family’s values and morals? Do you truly want to transform America into a Socialist state?
The core pillars of the DSA platform include: Universal Healthcare: Implementing a single-payer “Medicare for All” system; Economic Justice: Abolishing private ownership in major industries in favor of state, worker, or cooperative ownership; Labor Power: Strengthening unions and establishing a 32-hour workweek; Social Safety Net & Redistribution: Providing government-funded basic necessities, substantial wealth redistribution, and increased corporate taxes; Economic Rights: Guaranteeing nationwide rent control and tuition-free public college; Climate Justice: Funding a public-led Green New Deal; Structural & Government Reform: Abolishing the U.S. Senate and Electoral College, and subordinating the presidency and Supreme Court to Congress; Inclusive Democracy: Extending full voting rights to non-citizen permanent residents; System Abolition: Ending the prison system, traditional policing, and ICE; Anti-Imperialism: Reducing Pentagon spending, opposing NATO, and halting military aid to Israel.
To Independent voters, while the choice to remain unaffiliated is understandable, the stakes in this election require taking a stand. While the traditional Republican and Democratic parties differ on policy, both share a fundamental commitment to preserving our Constitutional Republic and our capitalistic economic system.
This is a commitment not shared by the radical DSA, which seeks to replace capitalism with democratic socialism. DSA is explicitly against the current capitalist economic system. Rather than seeking to reform capitalism like mainstream Democrats, the DSA’s official platform explicitly calls for the “abolition of capitalism” to replace it with a democratically managed economy. Implementing these structural changes would fundamentally alter American society, traditional values, and individual freedoms.
Having recently celebrated our nation’s 250th birthday, we are at a crossroads. To protect our culture, economy, and constitutional rights, I urge you to support Republican candidates in this election. As Alexander Hamilton stated, “An inviolable respect for the Constitution and Laws” is our greatest source of security.
Please make your voice heard at the polls.
God Bless America!!!!
