Vickie Lynn (Quackenbush) Phelps, 70, of Bloomville, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024.
Born on March 27, 1954 in Delhi, Vickie was the daughter of the late Francis Quackenbush Sr. and Evelyn (Hitt) Quackenbush.
She was a 1971 graduate of South Kortright Central School.
Vickie was married to David Phelps on March 14, 1988; David passed away on Jan. 14, 2017.
She worked throughout her life in manufacturing and retail.
Vickie was very independent, carefree and loyal. She was an excellent cook and baker, and enjoyed crafts, including making diamond art, jewelry and dream catchers. She also loved all of her pets and was an animal lover. Vickie loved spending time with her family and friends, often around a bonfire.
Besides her parents and husband, Vickie was predeceased by her siblings Ida Mae Decker, Patricia LaRocque, Charlene Pickett, Lorraine Rosa and Francis Quackenbush Jr.
She is survived by her sister Penny (Ray) Quackenbush-Scofield of Bloomville, and her nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Vickie’s request there will be no funeral service or calling hours. Private burial will be held at the convenience of her family. A celebration of Vickie’s life will be announced at a later date.
