Join the Delaware-Otsego Audubon Society for a visit to Falcon Heart Rescue.
Rehabilitator Deb Saltis of Falcon Heart Rescue in Herkimer has visited the Delaware-Otsego Audubon Society regularly to display rescued birds of prey at their open house. The local Audubon chapter now plans on visiting her facility to see more rehabbed animals and learn about the work they do.
The trip is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23 (with Sunday, Nov. 24 as a weather date). Interested parties will carpool from the Ford Ave. parking lot across from the YMCA in Oneonta at 9:30 a.m. for the approximately 1 hour trip to Falcon Heart. Since wildlife rehabilitation is supported solely by donations and out-of-pocket, DOAS suggests a donation to Falcon Heart Rescue.
