Walton Central School to Offer Free Meals to All Students

WALTON - Walton Central School has amended its school meal policy for the 2026-27 school year to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students.

Under the federal National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program, all children enrolled in the district will receive meals at no charge through the Community Eligibility Provision and the Provision 2 Non-Base Year option.

The change eliminates meal charges for all students attending Walton Central School during the 2026-27 academic year, regardless of household income.

The district said the program is intended to ensure all students have access to nutritious meals while reducing the administrative burden associated with collecting meal applications and payments.
