Several first-time attractions are making their Delaware County Fair debut this year.
Among the biggest additions is Thursday’s inaugural lumberjack competition sponsored by Russell Bass & Sons Logging.
Held beginning at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20 in the Upper Pit, according to Delaware County Fair Board President Jason Craig, the competition will feature chainsaw contests, log climbing and other woodsmen events.
Local participants are invited to compete.
The fair also welcomes new acts Circus Incredible, Oakley the Tree Man, Hot Diggity Dog performances, a professional hypnotist and the I LOVE NY Experience.
Combined with expanded vendor space and additional food options, organizers say the changes represent one of the fair’s largest expansions in years.
