Winter’s coolest tradition: Feb. 10-11

Posted

For a traditional ice harvest, visit Hanford Mills Museum Friday, Feb. 10 from noon to 4 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Because museum staff does not expect to have the eight inches required for visitors to be on the pond, ice will be cut by staff only. Visitors can still help transfer the ice blocks from the pond to the ice house.

More details about ice conditions and vendors/activities will be added to www.hanfordmills.org/programs/ice-harvest as they are confirmed.

Admission will be by donation rather than the usual rates.

There will not be a soup sale this year.
