2020 An American Story Screenings:
Thursday, July 18
at 6PM and 8PM
at Foothills Performing Arts Center

Award-winning filmmakers Jeri Wachter and Joseph C. Stillman, founders of Important Films Media in Gilbertsville, will present their latest documentary "2020: An American Story," on July 18th in Oneonta. The pair embarked on a 16,500-mile journey over fifty-days across thirty-states to capture this unique period in the history of the U.S. “We wanted to engage Americans in a critical dialogue about our democracy,” Wachter said. The film interviewed more than 200 individuals from diverse backgrounds discussing their experiences during the pivotal events of 2020- a pandemic, a contentious presidential election, and economic challenges. “Through those narratives, we believe our film explores the state of the nation, highlighting themes of democracy, history, and humanity,” according to Stillman. Clocking in at 67 minutes, the doc-umentary sparks conversations about the health of our nation then and now. An audience discussion will be led by the filmmakers at the conclusion of each showing.

"2020: An American Story" will screen twice at 6:00pm and 8:00pm on Thursday, July 18th at Foothills Performing Arts Center-The Loft, Oneonta, NY.
