My Thoughts of the week: The week is over and the Walton Fair is over for another year. It was a good time for all and especially a good time for the kids. Now its time for the state fair and then it will be time for school to start.

Lynn Kinch’s joke of the week:  An employer asked an applicant, “How long did you work at your other job?” “Fifty-five years,” the applicant replied. “How could you work somewhere for 55 years when you’re only 45?” The employer exclaimed. “Overtime.”

Senior Moments: An elderly man walks into a department store looking to buy bedsheets. The young salesman asks, “Are you concerned about thread count?” Confused, the man replies, “Don’t worry about that. I’ll count them all when I get home.”

A cute saying: I believe in democracy because it releases the energies of every human being.

Helpful Hints: Create a non-stick grill. Preheat a clean grill until nice and hot. Spear half a raw potato on a long barbecue fork making sure the tines don’t poke out through the cut side of the tater. Rub the speared potato firmly over the grill coating as much of the metal as possible. The starch from the potato will form a barrier between the grill and food create a non-stick surface.
