Students at Delaware Academy have been hard at work rehearsing for their upcoming spring musical, Rogers & Hart’s “Babes in Arms” (Oppenheimer Version).
The musical follows a group of teens working at a summer theatre as they try to stage their own original revue. The score features several songs that have become standards of the American Songbook including, “My Funny Valentine,” “Johnny One-Note,” “I Wish I Were in Love Again,” and “Where or When.”
The musical will showcase the work of over 30 students, including a cast of 18 students in grades 7-12.
The show at Delaware Academy opens at 7 p.m. March 10, with a Saturday show at 7 p.m. on March 11, and a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m.
