Franklin Pre-K students ‘On the Move’

Posted

FRANKLIN - Franklin Central Schools’ prekindergarten class visited various businesses and locations in Franklin last week as part of their “On the Move” unit which focuses on traveling and ways to get to a destination. The students took a walking field trip each day last week which included stops at the post office where they mailed letters home to their families; Wayne Bank where they learned about what tellers do; Yokel, a café, where students ate snickerdoodles; Taste Good Epicurean Foods Store where students were sent home with crackers, sauce and chocolate spread free of charge, and the Franklin Free Library. Students made a scrapbook of their travels and a graph of their favorite spot. Each destination got at least one vote, and the Franklin Free Library was the winner.
