Friends of Woodland Cemetery host tour Oct. 21

Friends of Woodland Cemetery will present a tour of Woodland Cemetery given by Delhi Town Historian Marianne Greenfield Saturday, Oct. 21, from 2–3 p.m.

Greenfield will discuss the symbolism and artistry behind the gravestones that mark the final resting places of many notable individuals who have played a significant role in the community’s history.

Highlights of the tour will include interpretation of gravestone symbols and their meanings; insights into the artistic techniques and cultural influences that shaped these gravestones, and an exploration of the lives and legacies of the individuals memorialized here.

Motorized transport will be available for those who require assistance during the tour. 

Complimentary refreshments will be served.
