DELHI - Deadlines for new registrations, change of address and for the Delaware County Board of Elections to receive by mail an application for absentee ballot have passed. If you have moved within the county or state, go to the polling place for your new address. If you moved to Delaware County from another state it is too late to register. However, you can opt to see a judge on Election Day and request a court order to allow you to vote. Call Delaware County Board of Elections at 607-832-5321 for information.

The last day for someone to deliver an application for absentee ballot in person or by agent is Nov. 7. The ballot will be issued and can be cast on site if the voter chooses. Once an absentee ballot has been issued you cannot vote on the machine on Election Day, only by affidavit ballot.

The last day to postmark your absentee ballot is Nov. 8. Ballot must be received by Nov. 15; Nov. 8 is the last day for ballot to be delivered by agent to board of elections. There are ballot boxes on both sides of the Board of Elections building, 3 Gallant Ave., Delhi, where ballots can be deposited at any time. Absentee ballots can also be submitted at polling places on Election Day.

Early voting for the general election takes place Oct. 29 through Nov. 6 at the Delaware County Board of Elections, 3 Gallant Ave., Delhi. Voting takes place at local polling locations from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 8.
