DELHI – The Honest Brook Music Festival, Honest Brook Road, Delhi, will present a stunning lineup of performers and chamber music for its 35th year of concerts in the restored barn of an old Delaware County farm in Delhi.

The Ulysses Quartet will open the season July 13. The quartet has been praised for its textural versatility, grave beauty, and avid enthusiasm, their playing delivered with exuberance and artistry.

Consisting of violinists Christina Bouey and Rhiannon Banerdt, violist Colin Brookes, and cellist Grace Ho, the quartet’s members hail from Canada, the United States, and Taiwan. They have performed in such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall, the Harbin Grand Theatre, Jordan Hall, and the Taiwan National Recital Hall.

On July 20, cellist James Baik and pianist Chaeyoung Park will perform.

Baik, 19, began playing the cello when he was eight in his hometown of Houston, Texas. He soloed with multiple local orchestras along with reaching the finals of the Lynn Harrell Competition at the age of 15, and has won numerous competitions since then. He is currently studying with Clive Greensmith at the Colburn Conservatory of Music.

Park, who opened the Festival season last summer, performs regularly with orchestras around the U.S. Her debut album on the Steinway label will feature the complete set of Ligeti’s Musica Ricercata, as well as Brahms’ Piano Sonata No. 3.

The Champlain Trio includes violinist Letitia Quante, cellist Emily Taubl, and pianist Hiromi Fukuda, and they each call Vermont home. All three musicians earned degrees from The Juilliard School, among others, and hold positions in the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Amherst College, and the University of Vermont.

He has appeared as soloist with the Cleveland Orchestra, the Minnesota Orchestra, the Seattle Symphony, the Orchestra of St. Luke’s at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, and other orchestras in Mexico and Korea.
