The Open Eye Theater presents LEGENDS AND TALES, a storytelling series with musical accompaniment, highlighting a different storyteller and musician from the Catskill Mountain area each week.
September 7: Abiyoyo and Abiyoyo Returns, based on a South African tale. Michelle Macau with musician Marcel Smith. Ages 6-11 and adults.
September 14: Ruth the WASP, local woman pilot serves her country, a true Catskill legend. Marge Helenchild, Peg DiBenedetto with musician Kent Brown. All ages.
September 21: The Monkey's Paw: Be careful what you wish for. Leland Krane with musician Matt Lake. Ages 12-18 and adults.
September 28: Famous Cowgirls, Outlaws and Gunslingers of the Old West. Darlene DeMaille with musician John DeMaille. Ages 6-12 and adults.
October 5: Seamus Jennings” is seance summoning with a historical ghost and “The Sligo Selkie: Myths, Magic, Mayhem”. Parker Cross with Nadya Rockefeller. Ages 6-11 and adults.
October 12: A tale of Appalachia the Witch Boy. Lisa Ruth Mays, Carol Schwartz with musician John St. James. Ages 6-11 and adults.
October 19: “The Legend of My Utsayantha." Pamela West-Finkle with musician Theodore Finkle. Ages 6-11 and adults.
