This program, at the Sidney Memorial Library, Saturday, April 13 at 11 a.m., will include educational information on topics such as muskets, uniforms, haversacks, hats, jackets and more depicting daily life as a soldier.
Benjamin Hevenor, who served in the 150th NY Infantry Regiment, will be depicted. The American Civil War began April 12, 1861 and ended May 9, 1865. Locally, the NY 144th Infantry Regiment organized in Delhi, received a large number of recruits from several towns and villages including Delhi, Walton, Masonville, Franklin, and Sidney.
