Summer fun at Cannon Library

Posted

The Cannon Free Library’s 10:30 Storytime programs are always full of worthwhile stimulation and socialization for preschool children and their caregivers. The library has two very special Storytimes planned for the week of July 14.

On Tuesday, July 16, children will have an opportunity to meet a police officer and to learn about their important jobs.

On Thursday, July 18, Christina Boice will lead children in an interactive movement party.

Children will also have a variety of other opportunities for special “Adventure Begins at Your Library” fun afternoons this week. Send the kids in for Lego Club at 3 Tuesday, July 16; to try paper quilling at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 17; and to learn to crochet at 3 Friday, July 19.

Everyone is invited to an ice cream social at the Cannon House on Main Street from noon until 3 Saturday, July 20. Along with the ice cream, the Delhi Historical Society has put together a display of historic Delhi maps and a Delhi history quiz game. The Cannon House is usually closed to visitors. Don’t miss your opportunity to see what’s inside the house.

Stop in at the library to pick up a calendar of events and more books to read. For more information, call the library at 607.746.2662 or find them on Facebook.
