The Walton Historical Society’s Eells House, 9 Townsend Street, Walton, will reopen to visitors on Saturdays starting Saturday, March 2.
The board of directors have made plans during the winter months for the coming year and work continues to move forward to bring the agenda to life.
Expect to hear that guest speakers, group participation programs and collection displays are planned for at The Eells House. In fact, if you or someone you know would like to present information on your special interest, hobby or small business, get in touch with a board member, stop in on a Saturday or leave a phone message.
Currently, staff is working to put together a display showcasing Walton’s manufacturing history, with an open house planned for spring. If any one has items that would lend themselves to this topic, and would like to loan them for display, contact Deb Bartlett via Facebook, email waltonhistoralsociety@outlook.com or phone 607-865 5895 and leave a message.
Fall events are in the planning stages as well.
Saturday hours remain 10 a.m.- 2 p.m., and most Fridays after 2 p.m., and as always, by appointment.
We look forward to your interests, historical accounts and “remembering when.”
