Carolyn Quick, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully March 3, 2024 at the age of 79. She was surrounded by her son John and loving family at Delhi Nursing Home in Delhi.

Born on Sept. 9, 1945 in Walton, Carolyn was the daughter of Basil and Gertrude Tennant. She grew up in Walton, where she developed a deep love for the four changing seasons and a passion for helping others.

A devoted wife, Carolyn shared over 50 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Thomas A. Quick. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Carolyn was a source of strength and support for her family, always putting their needs above her own.

As a mother, Carolyn was nurturing and patient, guiding her children with wisdom and love. She instilled in them the values of compassion, integrity, and hard work, which they carry with them to this day. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting bonds and unforgettable memories.

In her free time, Carolyn enjoyed her country music, trips to Vermont with dad, yard sales, coffee drinking, and attending to church chore activities. She had a keen eye for beauty and found solace in the simple pleasures of life. Her gentle spirit and infectious laughter will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Carolyn joins her loving predeceased husband, Thomas Quick; she is survived by her loving children Tod, Tammy (Chris), and John; her grandchildren Brock, Justin (Emmy), Josh (Kaitlin), Cameron (Meghan), Julien, Zachary and a host of extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory forever.

Though she may be gone from our sight, Carolyn’s love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Rest in peace, dear Carolyn. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held at a later date at the Walton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Organization.
