Ronald L. Cammer, 79, of Unadilla, Reached out and took his Savior’s hand Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Albany Medical Center, Albany.

Ronald was born Nov. 13, 1944 in Walton, to Lloyd Cammer and Mary Elizabeth Matthews.

Ronald was an elder, treasurer, Sunday School teacher, and participated in many other activities at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Walton, as well as a deacon at the Northfield Community Church in Northfield. Ronald worked as a tool room journeyman at Amphenol in Sidney, for 45 years. In his youth, Ron was a hard-working dairy farmer. He enjoyed spending time with his loving wife Margaret, his daughter Kim and son-in-law Scott. He was devoted to all his family. Ronald enjoyed farming, snowmobiling, tractor pulling, building furniture, playing cards, his Tuesday night men’s Bible study, worshiping God and his beloved Yorkie, Baxter.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Cammer, his daughter, Kimberly (Scott) Polomcean of Otego, his sisters Dawn Smith of Trout Creek, Carolyn Hudy of Binghamton, and Donna (Brian) Rappleyea of Broadalbin, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ronald was predeceased by his parents Lloyd Cammer and Mary Elizabeth Matthews Cammer and sister Sandra James.

Calling hours and services were held Tuesday, July 9, at Courtney Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Palada officiating. Burial followed at Walton Cemetery.
