DELHI – Delaware Academy girls varsity soccer tied Bainbridge 1-1 in the Midstate Athletic Conference on Wednesday, Sept. 27.
Bulldogs were first to score when Shannon Monahan knocked it in off an assist from Eleanor Wagner at the 37-minute mark of the first half. Bulldogs defense was able to keep the Bobcat’s scoreless well into the second half until Johnna Henderson scored at the 30-minute mark.
Delhi goalkeeper Peyton Garcia made four saves; Bainbridge goalkeeper Danica Park made eleven saves.
The Bulldogs outshot Bainbridge, 11-5.
It was senior recognition night for the Bulldogs. Seniors recognized were Olivia Finkle, Shannon Monahan, Elodie Reed, Natalie Vredenburgh and Eleanor Wagner
