On Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, Gerald “Jerry” Lee Walke of Walton passed away at the age of 88.
Jerry was born Nov. 7, 1933 in Treadwell, and grew up in Hamden, attending Delhi High School. Jerry was a naturally talented mechanic and engineer who generously shared his skills of repair and invention with employers, neighbors, friends, and strangers alike.
On July 22, 1956, he married Alice Martha Campbell with whom he raised a son Gerald “Spike” and two daughters, Jacqueline “Jackie” and Dorothy “Dodie.” Jerry was preceded in death by his former wife, Alice.
He is survived by his brother, Harry; children Spike (Kelly), Jackie (Dave), and Dodie (Mark); grandchildren Ryan, Kyle, Vincent and Samantha;
great-grandchildren Abigail, Rylee, London, Kylie and Grayson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to call Friday, Oct. 21, 2 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where services will be held at 1 with Pastor Bob Wilkie, officiating. Burial will follow in the Walton Cemetery.
