Lyndon E. Robinson Sr. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on March 11, 2024. He was 93. Lynn was the son of the late Leon and Phoebe Robinson. He was born in East Sidney. Lynn grew up on the family farm where the present day East Sidney Dam is located.

He married Frances Cronk in Franklin June 9, 1962. Lynn, along with his twin brother, Lloyd, owned and operated Robinson Bros. Auction Service in Hamden and Walton and Robinson Bros. Excavating, Walton, until his retirement in 2015.

Lynn enjoyed collecting antiques. His passion for antiquing turned into much more than a hobby during his lifetime. It enabled him and his wife, Frances, to enjoy many wonderful friendships formed through their weekly auctions. In addition, he enjoyed observing nature and had a soft spot in his heart for animals.

He was one of the founding members of the Walton Mountain Sportsmen’s Club. One of his most recent favorite pastimes was a stop for a McDonald’s chocolate chip cookie and a morning or afternoon ride with his wife, Frances, and his beloved beagle, Lily.

Lynn is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frances; his children Lyndon Robinson Jr. (Michele) of Walton, Karen (Chris) Kemp of Franklin, Robert Robinson of Peekskill, and Richard (Kristie) Robinson of Walton. Lynn is survived by two grandchildren, Jonathan and Brianne Kemp and one great-grandson, Felix Kemp. In addition, he is also survived by his sister Helen Monell, sisters-in-law Diane Robinson and Lorna Walters, brother and sister-in-law John and Kay Cronk, several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother-in-law Gladys Frazier; siblings Fran (Robert) Doig, Robert (Dorothy) Robinson, Pete (Louise) Robinson, Barbara (Donald) Higley, Raymond (Phyllis) Robinson, Lloyd Robinson, Joshua Robinson, Richard Robinson and Roger Robinson. In addition, he was predeceased by his brothers–in-law Howard Cronk and Douglas Cronk.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 19, at 1 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Walton. Keeping with Lynn’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. Burial will be in the spring in the Ouleout Cemetery in Franklin.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Delaware Valley Hospital in memory of Lynn.

The family would like to thank the staff at Delaware Valley Hospital for the care and compassion they showed Lynn during his brief illness.
