Maryann Jacob, 73, died Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Delhi Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, Delhi.
Maryann was born Oct. 10, 1950, in South Nassau, to Sigmond Charles Morosky and Katherine Pubins Morosky.
Maryann worked at various places over the years - Red Lion, DVH Medical Office, the funeral home, and at Walton Central’s Townsend School as a playground aide. Maryann was also a member of the Trout Creek and Walton fire departments and was a part of the ladies auxiliary.
Maryann married the love of her life, James R. Jacob Sr., on Sept. 18, 1971. She enjoyed doing Soduko, word searches, and was known to write everything down on family road trips. She loved to go to her son and grandson’s games and yelling “rebound.”
Maryann is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, James, her son James R. Jacob Jr., daughter-in-law Kimberly, and her grandson Dylan Jacob (Jesse) all of Walton. She is also survived by two nieces, and many, many friends.
Maryann is predeceased by her parents, Sigmond Charles Morosky and Katherine Pubins Morosky, her brother-in-law Julius Carl Jacob III, nephew Julius Carl Jacob IV, her mother-in-law Helen Sammis Jacob, her father-in-law Julius Carl Jacob Jr.
Calling hours were Wednesday July 10, at the Walton Fire Hall, and a service was held with Pastor Larry Light officiating.
