Robert J. Gorshack, 83, of Deposit died Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Valley View Nursing Home, Norwich. He was born on June 14, 1940 in Hancock, the son of John and Marian (Pendell) Gorshack.
Robert was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked for the Celotex Corporation for many years in Deposit, eventually retiring from the plant after a medical procedure. For many years Robert was an active member of the Hancock American Legion.
Surviving are a son, Jan and his wife Gina Gorshack; two grandsons, Jonathon and his wife Whitney Gorshack of Whitefield, New Hampshire, and Nathan Gorshack of Troy; a brother Richard Gorshack, and sister Nancy Oralls; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Robert was predeceased by his sister Judy Haeussler and brother Jack Gorshack.
A graveside service with military honors will be held May 18, 2024 at 11 a.m. in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hancock.
